Accepting New Clients - Get in touch to discuss how counselling may help you
Individual therapy—sometimes called one-to-one therapy or counselling—involves working with a trained therapist in a confidential setting. It’s a space just for you, where you can explore whatever is on your mind or weighing on your heart. Sessions typically last 50 minutes and are guided by your needs, your pace, and your goals.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, or simply a sense that something isn’t quite right, therapy can help you feel more grounded, supported, and in control.
I'm able to work with most presenting issues, but below is an idea of how I can help with some more specific issues.
Becoming a parent is often portrayed as a joyful time—but it can also be incredibly difficult. It can bring up feelings of inadequacy, identity shifts, exhaustion, and old wounds you never expected. If you’re struggling to adjust, feeling disconnected from yourself or your baby, or wondering why this isn’t what you thought it would be, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to stay stuck in those feelings.
Therapy provides a space where you can speak openly about your experience of parenthood without judgement. Together, we can explore what’s going on beneath the surface and support you in making sense of it.
A difficult or traumatic birth can leave lasting emotional scars—no matter how long ago it happened. You may feel shocked, confused, angry, or even numb. You might be blaming yourself, struggling with flashbacks, or finding it hard to bond with your baby.
Therapy can help you gently process the trauma, validate your experience, and begin to reclaim a sense of safety and trust in your body and the world around you. There is no ‘right way’ to recover, and therapy meets you exactly where you are.
Losing a baby—whether through miscarriage, stillbirth, TFMR, or neonatal loss—is a devastating experience. The grief can be complex and isolating, especially when those around you don’t know what to say or how to support you. Therapy offers a space to express the pain, honour your loss, and explore how to carry your grief in a way that feels bearable.
There is no timeline for healing, and there is no need to “move on” before you’re ready. Therapy isn’t about forgetting—it’s about remembering with love, finding support, and giving yourself permission to feel.
Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to do it alone. Therapy offers you the chance to be truly heard and held—without pressure, shame, or judgement. Whether you are in the depths of grief, feeling lost in new parenthood, or recovering from birth trauma, your story matters. And help is here when you’re ready.
